Friends of Nantucket Public Schools

Friends of Nantucket Public Schools was founded in the early 1980s by Charron “Corky” Ranney. More than 40 years later, our organization remains committed to meeting the evolving needs of students, parents, and teachers. We are able to provide grants to students looking to pursue extracurricular and enrichment activities, provide funding for extras in the classroom through staff initiated funding, host multiple student and community events, and serve as our local PTO by appreciating our Nantucket Public School staff. At Friends, we believe today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. Our mission is to enrich every student’s educational journey by fostering family engagement, supporting school initiatives, and building a strong, connected partnership between school and community.
